Agree it's the best song on the album. I think it's about being stuck in a bad relationship. I might have a tainted view because I've been there . . . twice. Some of the lines just hit real close to home: "To hell with her", "Happiness means nothing to me", "Still I'd trade you away today For some feeling that's real". For me "Jet Black" refers to being stuck and "Sunrise" refers to doing something to get out of a bad situation. That what I think anyway.
