Every time I think I know clearly what this song is about, I reset. I went the Natural Born Killers route, but the "it won't take too long" I felt kind of throws a wrench into that interpretation. I also thought it may be about the band's journey to stardom, fighting against the mainstream to reach something of a higher order (and oh god have these guys done just this), changing drivers might refer to artistic direction being lead by one or the other.
