One of my absolute favorites from "Analogue" and from a-ha in general. To me, the song tells of someone who is deciding to part and blaze their own trail on their own (But who's gonna come with you tonight/Who's gonna tell you it's alright/Everything changes over time/Just like wine), but that the singer won't stop the person from leaving because "it's [their] birthright" to make their own choices. I'm probably missing more from this song, but I'm open to hearing other interpretations.
