Question: What's the deal with the religious representations in the video? He doesn't address it directly, but is he referring to simpler/more humble times back in Jesus' day? Am I over-thinking this?

@ybbob it could mean that hes directly referring to people (like other rappers in his level or even just people who aren't humble at all and view themselves as "god" or "a god".

@ybbob It's a nice juxtaposition with the idea of telling someone else to be humble compared to yourself, as in this song

@ybbob I believe you're correct on the religious aspect he try's to interpret in the video. It's much deeper than most people understand. I believe Kendrick is trying to get the modern society today to understand and get on his level of mentality that there is nothing more real or reality-like than living life more spiritually and loving such as god wants us to.
