Wow, this song actually has a lot of maturity and insight. I'm not joking. Not intentionally in the song itself, but in the maturity of the Cramps which makes them capable of writing something like this.
Like, I think the Cramps and anyone who listens to them can share the feeling of feeling outcasted for reasons not entirely explicable. It feels like very, very often, people (in society and in your life) close their eyes, throw their index finger on a part of you at random, and then decide to ostracize you for whatever their finger landed on. The way you dress, walk, talk, eat, suck, kiss, spit, ...
And that's where the Cramps come in and say, "Yeah, that's me, a mutant, you guessed it" and just kick around in the ridiculousness of that.
Hence the animal sounds and ownership of being just an utter Goo Goo Muck.
