Will the faithful be rewarded When we come to the end (Will he ever get to see her again) Will I miss the final warning From the lie that I have lived (He is with someone else but knows she’s not the one) Is there anybody calling (Is she looking for him too?) I can see the soul within (He once saw into her soul and remembers its beauty) And I am not worthy (He doesn’t feel worthy of her) I am not worthy of this (He doesn’t feel good enough to have her as his soulmate) Are you with me after all (Is she really his?) Why can't I hear you (Where are you if you’re real?) Are you with me through it all (Is she always going to be with him?) Then why can't I feel you (Why can’t he feel her around?) Stay with me, don't let me go (He doesn’t want her to give up on him) Because there's nothing left at all (He’s empty inside without her) Stay with me, don't let me go (He wants her to be his) Until the Ashes of Eden fall (until the end of the world. Until the end of time. Until temptation subsides.) Will the darkness fall upon me (Will he get lost) When the air is growing thin (When he feels like he can’t breathe) Will the light begin to pull me (Will he find her?) To its everlasting will (Will it last forever?) I can hear the voices haunting (Memories from the past) There is nothing left to fear (He knows he has nothing to fear and she’s reassuring him.) And I am still calling (He’s still searching for her. He wants to be found) I am still calling to you (He longs to be with her) Are you with me after all (Has she been with him since the beginning?) Why can't I hear you (He can’t hear her and he wonders if she’s out there) Are you with me through it all (He wants to know if their lives eventually parallel and align together?) Then why can't I feel you (He needs something more. Something physical to convince him it’s real) Stay with me, don't let me go (He begs her to not give up on him) Because there's nothing left at all (He has nothing without her.) Stay with me, don't let me go (He wants her to keep searching and feeling the same things he feels for her) Until the Ashes of Eden fall (Until it’s all over. Reference to the Garden of Eden. In a way he feels like he’s Adam and she’s Eve. She seduced him and he fell in love with her. Through reincarnation, he’s still searching for his Eve.) (Don't let go) Why can't I hear you (If she’s out there, why hasn’t he felt her love?) Stay with me, don't let me go (Don’t give up hope) Because there's nothing left at all (Nothing matters except for their love) Stay with me, don't let me go Until the Ashes of Eden fall Heaven above me, take my hand (He refers to her as heaven. He wants her to find her way to him) Shine until there's nothing left but you (He wants to bring out the best in her. He wants her to shine so bright that he won’t be able to see anything besides her, because he’s been in the dark for so long) Heaven above me, take my hand Shine until there's nothing left but you (I think the song is about true love, but mostly soulmates. You can be in a relationship and feel like you love someone. You go through the routine of the relationship and marriage. Having kids. Raising kids. But a part of you will always feel a little bit empty once you’ve met your true soulmate. It doesn’t always work out with them, and sometimes you can’t even be friends anymore. You let them go and they let you go. A few years pass and you realize that they’re all you ever needed in your life. You wonder if you’ll ever see them again. When you finally do meet them, even if you were reincarnated, you know your souls will recognize each other and have a special connection that no one else can see or understand. Your soulmate will always feel like home. It’s more than a friendship and more than love. It’s a special kind of bond that two people share only once in a lifetime.)

My Interpretation

@immafanofthat No offense pal, but I have to respectfully disagree. The lyrics are obviously religious. They make no sense with what you interpreted it as.
