"Cicadian Rhythm is actually a song i wrote the music for but Nikki wrote the lyrics to. It's really an homage to a friend of her's that passed away recently. First time Nikki wrote most of the lyrics. We knew we were going to do this duet together, and i really knew she really had something going on that needed to come out and I am happy this is a vessel for it and it came out great, i'm really happy with it. It's one of those little nuggets of a song that we didnt expet too much of when it was this little thing that we really enjoyed, and it ended up taking on a new life. It's exciting when that happens, as a band member you are so involved in it, you cant see it for what it is and that's one of those times where it was beyond you and you can look at it like other people look at it and it was really lovely."
