I believe this was the time when Dave was hit with crack cocaine, & heavy use of it, he was chomping at a bit cause he realized it's never enough, felling chlaustorphobic, thinking true friends or enemies is the felling after the use. 20/20 vision when it hits your mind your eyes widen seeing more than natural, crossing over to spirits haunting you placing fear that brings schizophrenia, his hands with blood from pushing the glass pipe he broke & slit his hands. Sharpening the axe is cleaning the pipe & breaks up the piled cards of stuck cocaine inside the pipe he's cleaning to continue this crusade getting even more higher.
