@Moonmadness Forget my comment. On re-liste, it's the Shadow that asks "Why do you ride that Crazy Horse", not the first bird. So I'm not sure why the three birds would be CS&N. That supports the Shadow being Neil's "Harvest era" alter ego, though. As you say, pretty opaque lyrics.
