Before I touch on "That Fire" itself, I just want to say I think Black Tide were given some poor management or direction when the LP 'Post Mortem' was released in 2011. They obviously had raw energy to spare and talent beyond their years. But that just wasn't enough and at age 18 they're being told they 'lack polish'?! WTF? Of course you're lacking polish at age 18 - that's completely natural and shouldn't be considered a 'fault'.
Ok, as for the the song itself; I think this track is HIGHLY underrated and I can happily say;
'There's no mystery here; it's about being a young dude with a "real Girlfriend". You tell her you really love her and she thinks you're 'that FIRE'!
However, despite all of this sweet-stuff you don't even want to think about giving up your chicks on the side.
