to me this song pretty much sums up what happened and is happening still in my life when my dad walked out on us almost 3 years ago. i think emotionless is about a dad that was the most amazing dad to anyone, and someone that can be looked up to by his kids. One day he left and everything changed. when he left, it left a permanent scar on his family; when he left, it hurt so much, it left them broken and forever changed. it seemed like he didnt care about them, and like he moved on without a second thought. life since he left has been so hard to manage, and cope with but they do. . sometimes they might think that maybe now i could see him or have a relationship with him again, but then he goes and fucks things up again. through all of the heartache and his mistakes, and the way he treated them there is a part of them that will always miss him, because hes their dad.
