To me, love is a trifecta - deep love, sexual desire and a long-term attachment which this song represents for a man I'm deeply in love with and have been for 6 years.
When we initially fall in love with someone, worshiping the ground they walk on and believing them to be the most appealing, intriguing and unique person "in the room" is perfectly normal.
Eventually we will take our partner off of the "pedestal" after months and years of being together perhaps, but our love of them remains the same, still feeling a sense of “love blindness” where they are concerned and it doesn't fade, if anything it feels more solid and anchored.
