For me, this song is about loving someone who is depressed and you can't reach them. The second verse sounds a little more like they've broken up and the one being written about is moving on, and the person talking is a stalker (which is creepy), but I don't think that's what the songs is about. Honestly, the person who is singing may be depressed, too, or something. I just know I've been in relationships where I can't reach the person. Feel like I'm watching, waiting, aching. Just wanting to help them but you can't reach them, they can't hear you, they're not opening up. This part makes me feel this way especially:
Sick of the lack of signal
Sick of the lack of touch
Sick of the static voice
It's not enough, it's not enough
Baby it's hard to be, just what you need
When all I speak is static screams
Even if I'm wrong, it's a beautiful, haunting song.
