I love the sound of it, and agree with the below that it's just about going about your day as normal and on the off-chance seeing some past lover/from a past life and it totally shaking you so much so that you can't stop thinking about it all day and can't stop yourself from pursuing it. I love how we hear him debating whether or not to call her "I mean, I don't even know if she has the same number. Who knows, maybe she does?" and the song ending with the girl's reply; "hello?" is the perfect ending to this past life coming back into communication, into the current
