This is my new favorite song from Lacey, because it took me awhile to actually get the newest album before realizing they have a new lead singer, but who cares? She sounds good and can keep Flyleaf going, which is what we all need...
Anyways, since I'm So Sick, this song truly reflects her story of the day before she found Jesus she was gonna attempt suicide...
I mean, even the opening reminds me way too much of Matthew 26:40...
--- So you're tired but you're alive
So open up your eyes
And you can get some sleep when you are dead
Kill the clock inside your head ---
It's a song I think definitely about the future, but more just... living in the moment... not being afraid of death, and optimistically not even worrying about the transition from now until heaven...
--- Wait
You said I'd only have to wait until I die
(New horizons)
There is no such thing as time
Inside this moment no sun rising
Wait until I fly ---
And of course, if you notice, the music video showcases memories, but also what appears to be Lacey's husband and baby... illustrating she's enjoying and making the most of life, but not storing her treasures on earth
