I have an irrational love of this song, so here's my take. I think the song (lyrics and music alike) mirrors the path of a relationship from the honeymoon stage all the way to marriage. The song starts slow, and she talks about discovering and being in this misty/dreamy time at the beginning of a relationship. The song starts to pick up and the drums almost sounds like a beating heart as she remembers the magical times as they started to fall in love, and then actually say it for the first time "Out of the stillness, Soft spoken words, Say it, say it again, I love you always forever." The song then builds to the piano finale (which to me sounds a bit like church bells) as they get ready to commit to each other for the rest of their lives with their vows of always loving each other forever.
