The first verse to me seems to be suggesting it could be directed towards social media fame. That is they get their fame (or infamy) through social media or the like, but it really isn't something to be proud of (or to hang onto). Because it will pass very quick (you'll be forgotten tomorrow). Could "bottom feeder" be relating to the fact many of these gain fame at the expense of another (especially celebrities)??
However the following verses and courses seem to suggest it could be more along the lines of what @Metalicious has suggested. However the song seems addressed to us (the listener), sort of a tale of warning. i.e. don't become this person (a bottom feeder).
