Sure, on the surface there are references to Christianity and vanity, but the true point ot the song goes beyond that and is applicable for society, not just a select group of people. I think all of the songs on this album are the same way. There is a surface meaning that calls out specific things and a deeper meaning that everyone is supposed to use to change the way they think and act.
