Pretty sure it's about a close friend/lover moving away or drifting apart from Kevin ("and you came out today but you didn't stay very long") and this person's got a new attitude about them which is kinda self-righteous and they think they're cooler or better now ("Now it's like the world owes you" / "And I can tell you've changed by the people around you") and ultimately Kevin has to deal with this person and him not being the same as they used to and him missing them ("There's so much I want to tell you" .. which by the way I think is a really beautiful ending, it's like this afterthought that still, regardless of it all, they just want to speak to them more than anyone)
