Okay,so i thought of all this yesterday.I was comparing this song to some of my own memories and i came up with a theory.
You can clearly see that this song is about being in a relationship with someone and you two are fighting,all the time,but you still love each other.
Let's see it as a relationship between Oli and a girl.
Oli is telling her that if they still love each other they can make it.
She doesn't believe it.
This song is actually a conversation,except from a part of the chorus.

Describes their relationship and how things are
Then,the conversation starts
Oli:I don't wanna do this by myself,I don't wanna live like a broken record (probably reffering to his drug addiction)

The "nothing in the air" lyric makes me think of the "love is in the air" phrase.Probably saying that the love between them is going away.
Then Oli apologizes for something he has done.
