I like the first two ideas here but I read into it very differently... I saw it as the opposite. I feel that the girl and the guy are potentially house mates... she is besotted and very much in love with the guy. But he just sees it as casual sex.
Their pillow talk is filled with him talking about 'noble deeds' maybe going out for dinner.... but it never happens, but even though 'it doesnt get done' its feels like the sun to her and warms her with happiness at the idea
She knows hes bad for her... but 'he's beautiful' and she can't resist each time.
I think his 'friends' are other girls he sometimes brings back and it kills her when she can hear him stumbling in drunk or otherwise with one of these girls; she hates hereing them stomping up the stairs.
His 'magic voice' is his charm and he is 'cruel' with it... leading her on... What do you think?
