Making a vow to never get mad at your partner is unrealistic and unfair. Maybe the partner cheated on him and is coming back saying to him "you said you'd never get mad." They're all the same - people, males, females - so who's to say you're better off with someone else or not? Obviously once you start to lose trust in someone, then those worrying feeling come up.
