I love this song :D Such a shame that the band's legacy have been tainted by what happened.
I hate to say this, but if Ian wrote the lyrics, it makes me feel like it's him taunting his ex Joanne while she was trying to expose him, in that no-one believed her and everyone was on his side.
But that's just me over-reading into it. It's a really great song regardless of what he's done.
