Closing Time Lyrics

I absolutely love this song. Most "last call" songs are written for the patrons (Semi-sonic or Buffett), but this is aimed at the bar employees. As a student at Clemson in the late '70's early '80's you lived for Friday and Saturday nights (at least) and it was like a huge street party every night. It was magic. Of course, if you were like me, more likely than not you got caught at closing time. Immediately after adjusting your eyes when the lights come on you realized 2 things... 1, all the women were gone and it was you and your crew and a couple of other losers in the other corner. 2. The place was wrecked. So while everyone headed to the pizza joint, the employees still had hours of work left so the next night was just as magic. Great job of capturing the reality of how hard those folks work..... fill those tip jars!!!
