Being in a rock band with your brother is not easy, especially if he's your more dominant older brother who calls all the shots, I know....I've been there.

What is interesting about this song is that it like an epitaph to the end of the Davies Brother's working relationship and the end of the Kinks. In 1994 when the Kinks broke up; things must have been pretty bad for Dave that he finally had reached the last straw with Ray (Hat's off to him for keeping loyal for 30 years, considering that most brother groups often split up after 15 years; Oasis, Dire straits, BeeGees, Beach Boys.....etc; I'm baffled that Sparks keep going).

Since this time Dave has had a stroke and has had to re-learn to play the guitar again but despite this, I do sincerely hope that one day we can enjoy a Kinks re-union (they were the best rock band I have ever seen live and that is up against some very stiff competition) I'm sure before that can happen Ray's going to have to swallow his pride and find a way to plant the olive tree with Dave......Fingers crossed.
