Some legends are told
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries
And just one mistake
Is all it will take
We'll go down in history
Remember me for centuries
(Hey yeah, oh hey, hey yeah)
Remember me for centuries
Lots of school shooters want to be remembered. They don't want to be just another of the countless ordinary anonymous kids there are. They want to be something special.
Mummified my teenage dreams
No, it's nothing wrong with me
The kids are all wrong
The stories are off
Heavy metal broke my heart
'Mummified my teenage dreams' means that they've given up all of their dreams. All the dreams of being popular, having a boyfriend/girlfriend, etc.. They've just accepted that they can't have that. 'The kids are all wrong the stories all off' means that they believe the kids at school are wrong, as in they don't feel like they fit in. A lot of school shooters say they were bullied or felt left out, and that's what that part means. The kids and there stories about them were wrong. The heavy metal bit is sarcasm, as the Columbine Massacre was blamed on Marilyn Manson by some, and obviously this is ridiculous.
Come on, come on and let me in
The bruises on your thighs like my fingerprints
And this is for tonight
I thought that you would feel
I never meant for you to fix yourself
This bit is about how the shooter had a friend/girlfriend/boyfriend like them, but who got 'better' from feeling the way they did about everything. The shooter feels betrayed, and is angry that their friend fixed themselves and they couldn't.
Some legends are told
Some turn to dust or to gold
But you will remember me
Remember me for centuries
And just one mistake
Is all it will take
We'll go down in history
Remember me for centuries
(Hey yeah, oh hey, hey yeah)
Remember me for centuries
And I can't stop 'til the whole world knows my name
'Cause I was only born inside my dreams
Until you die for me, as long as there is a light
My shadow's over you 'cause I am the opposite of amnesia
And you're a cherry blossom
You're about to bloom
You look so pretty, but you're gone so soon
This is about how the shooter craves recognition, and feels like they're only relevant in their daydreams. The shadow bit is about the actual shooting, and the amnesia bit is to do with the way your life is supposed to flash before your eyes before you die. The shooter is acknowledging their victims beauty, but knows they will soon be dead.

Remember me for centuries
And just one mistake
Is all it will take
We'll go down in history
Remember me for centuries
(Hey yeah, oh hey, hey yeah)
Remember me for centuries
We've been here forever
And here's the frozen proof
I could scream forever
We are the poisoned youth
The shooter knows that kids before them have shot up schools, and kids after them will. The youth of today, yesterday, and tomorrow, have been her forever, in disillusionment, they are the 'poisoned youth'.

Remember me for centuries
Its from the point of view of school shooters.
