Feels to me like a typical love song where the singer has been dumped.
Agape, while meaning brotherly love, can just be about love and in this case of a girlfriend (could be boyfriend it is 2015...)
He doesn't want this love to die, he knows he messed up and that her words now hurt him, but its all he wants to hear. He is totally heartbroken.
The rest of the song kinda repeats this sentiment "how can i go on without you" "i'm scared" "tell me how to get over this"
Thankfully i've never had my heart broken, but i'm pretty sure this accurately portrays the emotions.
@AndersB Be glad you've not had your heart broken. Its not nice, and these songs make me so emotional. I want to listen but it gets harder and harder.
