Never look for the truth in your mother's eyes
Never trust the sound of rain upon a river
Rushing through your ears
denial, not using , doubt, choices
he talks about what the usual choices people would do (not do whats always
been avoided he would naturally choose not to stop a car at night, he was
taught never to doubt/question his mother,
not to believe until we see it, not believe on hearing rumours.
what would have happened if we had chosen otherwise ?? or the other side of
us ?
Arriving somewhere but not here
lost, confused, right/wrong.
he is confused about what he have become but is he at the moment at that
place in life that he was supposed to be ?
Or has he wandered somewhere else ? what is right, which one is wrong ?
Did you imagine the final sound as a gun?
Or the smashing windscreen of a car?
Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear as you're fading out was a song?
Imagination, Possibility, death
he tells that he is lucky enough to be alive yet. It was possible he would be
dead by now
by a gun or in a crash, or may be poisoned as he is listening to a song, this
song maybe.
anything could be possible if your choices were different.
All my designs, simplified
And all of my plans, compromised
All of my dreams, sacrificed
conclusion, understanding, neutralised
2, he thinks he is lucky enough to get a second chance, the opportunity to do something what he had not done yet
he forgets the earlier mistakes he made in order to look for the correct path, the right choice.
The right choice ? what is right, which one is wrong ?
....
....
....
Ever had the feeling you've been here before?
Drinking down the poison the way you were taught
Every thought from here on in your life begins
And all you knew was wrong?
returning, teaching, choices.
he returns again in relation to the 1st phrase, asking what he had been doing was all wrong ?
what if he had been taught to make other choice ? (what would have happened if he had stopped the car,
what if he had asked her mother the truth behind her smiling face despite the pain she took when he
was a child ? What if he had not been so attached to reality ?
what if he had always been choosing wrong ?
Did you see the red mist block your path?
Did the scissors cut a way to your heart?
Did you feel the envy for the sons of mothers tearing you apart?
Experienced, learned, felt
He learnt he cannot return to the past, he cannot turn back the choice he made, he cannot turn back time. He questions himself weather he still feels he had made a wrong choice looking at the different choices everyone else had made.
3 a scissor of choices cuts him down every second and he cannot stop it, no one can.
The best song ever to be ever made.
