This album came out in 2001 but I only discovered this guy and bought this album recently. The sound is very well balanced and high quality sounding. This is my favorite off the album, Hey Andy! being my close second. Frankly the mood and lyrics sound kinda similar to Hey Andy! even though the beats certainly sound very different.
All this guy's lyrics seem to be almost purposely vague, but here's my interpretation of this one-- it's from the point of view of a gay guy, to his lover who is breaking up with him and going into the closet due to pressure from his homophobic religious community. The speaker is telling this guy that doing this is actually counter-productive to his soul's salvation.
