Someone told this line "I bought me an illusion An I put it on the wall" was inspired by a scene in Wall Street. Gordon Gecko is telling Bud about a bad investment in a painting. I was told the painting in the movie was titled " Illusion", not sure if there is any true connection.
The tempo breaks rather intensely with these 2 Illusion parts and the lyrics seem to transcend the relationship aspect that seem to be going on with the main verses. There are so many parts that are very special to me, almost like 4 different songs in 1.
