I always thought the song was about accidental deaths! maybe I am way off the mark here, but it's my interpretation.
Swallowed by the Bed - Suffocation?
Caught in the Phone - tripping on the Lead?
Hammering the Walls - into Electrics maybe?
Sleepwalking Falls - as it says?
Overstepping Out - walking out the house, sleep walking?
Haunting the Halls - visiting back after the unfortunate accident!
@lordjmiv That was my first thought as well - the 95% 'happen at home' line talks about some incidents of which 95% happen at home. That 95% of accidental deaths happen at home might be an overstatement, but the lyrics do seem to be getting to some place in that vicinity.

@lordjmiv. This is right in step with how I have always seen the meaning.
