My thought is that he has returned from a long tour on the road and is standing outside Mr. Blues which I take to mean Arkie Blues in Bandera Texas. Arkie Blue is a famous country western singer and has owned a place on main street at least since I was there in early 80's. I don't get the depression thing or illness thing at all from Mr. Keen. I just think he is glad to be home. The song is about positive thinking and its result.
