Cover art for Memory [From Cats] lyrics by Andrew Lloyd Webber

This is how an old city cat sees the moon and lamp lit city night! The song transports us, so that we can smell the air, hear the leaves, of midnight. We love how he remembers the beauty of his youth. The old cat faces mortality in the dewy night air, and concludes with esperance. Then "touch me" suddenly makes the song like "Touch Me in the Morning," about the mortality of love, saying goodbye, and fleeting happiness that shows that happiness is, and what it is. OOOh!
