My interpretation of the song is about mankind and how destructive we are.
"At home with the ghosts in the national parks" My guess is that the ghosts are referring to trees, as in when we cut them down their "ghosts" still linger in the park.
"Mankind's behave like some serial killers
Giant old monsters afraid of the sharks" This is obviously about how we go and destroy forest, tear things down, ect. As for the monster part I think he is refering to us as humans being these huge monsters being able to do nearly anything yet we are still scared of the sharks.
"And we say we're in love with all of it
And we say we're in love with everything
And we say what can we say?
And we say we're in love with all of it
And we say we're in love with everything
And we say what can we say?" This talks about (or at least I think it does) on how humanity acts as if everything is fine, we go about our day doing what we are told acting as if we love it all.
"And we say we're in love with all of it
And we say we're in love with everything
And we lie, we love to lie" Probably one of my favorite parts of the song. The very last lyric is on how we say we're on love with everything, on how it's all perfect, yet in reality it's just a lie.
