It doesn't care about it's surroundings, isn't in competition with other organisms for it's survival, reproduces with itself, and they live most of their lives outside of the mainstream ecosystem's influence(as it can adapt to almost every situation). Some even speculate that amoebas may not have originated on planet earth.
