Yes, edf203, that's the gist of it.

"Tear the king from his throne" and "We wrote it down in blood, We gave our lives for love." --- these seem to be a reference to The French Revolution (F.R.)

"Here they treat us like slaves and convince us we're free" --this sounds like Christians struggling with the culture norms and the secular beliefs of today "ins laving" us in pleasure and tricking us into believing that we're "free"

"Fight for the life that our children should have, Fight for every freedom that we never had" -- this too refers to us as christians fighting to be different, so that our children won't have to deal with the things we do.

"Our peace must be earned" --- this is kind of a funny homonymous bit. "Our peace must be earned", not only for us but for our children, and in hoping they can live in peace with God and men. Also could be seen as "Our 'piece' must be earned" which is almost the same must more like gaining ground in a battle or something.

So, yes, this is a song about fighting for what you believe in, much like in the F.R.

But it is also a song about not letting ourselves drown in what seems like peace and pleasure and seeing them for what they really are; murder and slavery.

"Fight with us, fight for love"

My Opinion

I hope this wasn't completely confusing, i think in weird patterns. Sorry ;)
