I think that this song is originally perceived as very happy and lovey dovey but when you think about it, it's almost ironic. This guy is the same guy that left her all alone and never told her why, but he's singing about how he messed up. While the idea is cute and romantic, it's a lot darker because this guy did hurt her, and the only thing she has are his words that he'll love her, and guys will say anything. Just a thought lol
