It is interesting reading other peoples interpretations of the lyrics to this beautiful little song. I was introduced to it only last year by a dear friend as it seems to be so close to my life. I walked into a field last year and slit my wrists after the end of my marriage due to my wife having an affair with an old flame, there were rivers running out of me...luckily I survived and after weeks in a mental institution I got back in contact with my soul mate...Jennie...of whom I fell in love with five years prior but couldn't leave my family to be with her.
