I'm pretty positive this song is about a guy who finds out his significant other either is cheating or doesn't want to be in the relationship with him anymore, despite her knowing. He obviously feels sad about this, but he knows that if she's already walking away, he should just say his goodbyes and move on. Just my interpretation :)
