I know this a concept album and that it has a whole story to it, but I feel like the whole album relates to us in some way. This song speaks to me more than the others (But the other songs are amazing too).
I feel as if the person is the song has inner-demons that he cannot seem to overcome. He wishes he could have a clean slate(A second chance at life is all I've dreamed of). He feels like no one really understands him ( This life we live alone). He is destined to have this 'disease' forever(The chains are part of me.) I am a very religious person, so it is interesting how Spencer adds, "Upon the cross I burn." To me we all have burdens or crosses and sometimes they get the best of us, which seems to happen in this case.
Personally I am a recovering addict so when it says, "I need to find a way. I’m gonna find my way far from here." This reminded me of myself when I realized that my disease was ruining my life. This song echos within me.
Anyways, That is my interpretation. Juggernaut is the greatest album ever. So much epicness!
The whole story is roughly about a boy born into a cult. The ritual performed during his birth was an attempt to birth a demon of some sorts (him) the rest of the album goes through what he does, his suffering and murders etc., and finally his redemption.
I'm unsure exactly what this specific section (Priestess) refers to but the lyrics and story as a whole are pretty messed up.
