I don't think this is as much a love song as much as a stalker song.
The lines that give it away to me are;
'We live happily in my fantasy.'
Meaning they are might not love together or be happy in real life.
'My alarm clock rings, I wake up in denial.'
He can't accept that the fantasy is not true.

A delusion held by many who want someone.
There are quite a few more (e.g. 'lock of hair' - reminds me a bit of Patrick Bateman lol) which give into it being more like an 'obsession' and not actual love.
However this is a super catchy and fun song, showing the dreams and desires of an obsessed man from an alternate perspective, his own (opposed to her's or the police).
