That is why western civilization is going to "default." Our consumerism is rampant. I just purchased a nice winter coat, on sale for 30 US dollars. I make 30 dollars sitting at a computer for 2 hours and checking email. Would I last 2 hours in a foreign sweatshop? Doubt it.
I haven't paid my student loans in forever, either. I cannot afford to because my rent is off the charts. So when the economy goes to hell, it will be my fault. Partly.
