I love and understand the whole lyrics except the fireside metaphor. really, someone can, please, please, explain it to me? "When you're losing and your fuse is fireside"--What the hell does that mean??
@lizamoryne I've always viewed that metaphor as being the idea of something being on the cusp of exploding. A fuse, if ignited, can be used to detonate a bomb or dynamite. Therefore, the fuse being right next to the fire, shows that the situation is on the cusp of blowing up.
