I've noticed that Panda Bear likes to use some puns in his songs, this pun being the difference between the "sense" and the later "since."
These lyrics remind me a lot of his song "Comfy In Nautica" because they don't seem personal, but rather his own words of wisdom he's telling us. He's definitely my favorite lyricist.
