An old Christian metal singer for a band they used to like was playing with his new adult contemporary band and John recognized him, so from across the parking lot (I think the show was in a parking lot from what I can remember from the interview) John screamed "PLAY CRACK THE SKY!" Crack the Sky was one of the Christian metal band's songs. The guy was embarrassed because he was past that part of his life then. It's a really funny story if you want to look it up on Youtube.
