Possibly this is an anti-drunk-driving song based upon the line "I got the devil juice in my carburetor", put under the Façade of behind a hilarious yet omnious story about being trapped in your car with the devil on the way to hell. Sort of like a New Wave version of "Arrested for Driving While Blind" by ZZ Top but without being glaringly obvious.
One interesting thing about a lot of the new wave bands is that there is a way of contorting ones brain to pull multiple, sometimes a crazy number, of interpretations out of the lyrics/poetry within to makes it mean something different to everyone.
