I have to disagree with some of the comments here. This song is anything but positive (as most, if not all, DT songs). This song is about war. It talks about anger taking hold (a deeper shade of red descending), common sense and logic being left behind (sing destruction, sing of unfulfilment, search abandoned...), the muting of people oppossing the conflict(eradicate the lungs), people blinding themselves to the truth (weighed upon a wider scale, afraid to see what takes us down)and people following without sense or logic, the death of individuality (ridden of the self provided things get easier).
As for the title, I understand it that we live in a amazing world, full of miracles that we crush under our feet.
