A Demiurge is a being responsible for the creation of the universe. So I'd say yeah it got a religious touch to it. Gnosticism describes a collection of ancient religions whose followers shunned the material world created by the demiurge and embraced the spiritual world. And Agnosticism is the view that the truth values of certain claims, especially claims about the existence or non-existence of God, as well as other religious and metaphysical claims that are unknown or unknowable. Also the line "Falling while thrusting squares through circles Serving one single new dimension" I think has something to do with the devil as he fell from heaven and then created chaos and served in Hell. To sum it up. In my eyes it's saying to all the small minded people "What if it isn't bullshit? How will you feel then?" Which makes the line "I scorch the skies before your very eyes" so damn cool. You always hear these small minded people saying "seeing is believing" so to see the skies "scorch before their very eyes" would just be terrifying to them because they could never wrap their heads around the idea of a God or a Devil. I think this song from Meshuggah is indicator that show us we are just Human beings and dualism is something what we cant understand, just feel. This is criticism of religion and those who destroy our rationality through the system of mechanical...
