In Kiedis' book, Scar Tissue, he talked about his inspiration for the song. When they were on tour for their first album he met a girl in New Orleans. He described her looking like Marilyn Monroe with her blonde hair, eyes and red lips. He went up to her before anyone else could. She told him she went to Catholic school.
@PlanetBAL 100% correct.... the girl he met is actually a friend of mine that I grew up with, she lived across the street from me. She met them at the 1984 World\'s Fair, she was was 15/16 at the time, stole her mom\'s car to drive up to Baton Rouge where they were playing the next night. Her parent\'s knocked on my door asking if I knew where she was, I had no idea as I had been at school, a Catholic school actually, all day.

If I remember correctly, he found out she was 14.
