From my perspective, it sounds like Anthony's friend committed suicide in the beginning of the song. "Ruptured the seal in the wall" meaning the bullet, that "time cannot repair." The rest of the song seems to be a reflection on the events leading up to his friends' suicide. "So emotionless" I interpret as his friend being dead, "What'll bring you back to life?" A strong statement, the machine reference I don't get unless it's the machines in the hospital.
